5. ACCURACY IS KEY TO FLUENCY
Our teaching method features a well-defined curriculum, engaging materials, and cultural immersion. We balance comprehensible input with accurate output and focus on functional objectives. Using techniques like questioning, scaffolding, and dual coding, we equally develop speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills. Lack of accuracy is what's usually hindering fluency and we ensure that never happens.

WHAT SETS US APART
INTENTION. STRUCTURE. KNOWLEDGE.
We create monthly study plans for each of our students. These plans serve as a clear roadmap for your learning, designed to develop real-world communication skills while ensuring balanced progress across all areas: speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
We organise each study plan into a weekly calendar that introduces new concepts gradually, using building blocks that deepen your understanding without overwhelming you. This progressive approach supports sustainable skill development and avoids cognitive overload.
Each month ends with a practical project that brings together everything you’ve learned and puts your functional objectives into action.
Each monthly plan is built around specific functional objectives — practical goals that show you what you’ll be able to do with the language by the end of the month.
For example, in a past study plan, the functional goals included talking about food habits, explaining how to prepare a dish, and giving instructions. These aren’t just abstract ideas; they’re linked to grammar points and vocabulary, so you see exactly how each topic supports your ability to use the language meaningfully.
WHAT IS CEFR?
Romance Language Centre’s courses are structured using the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL), internationally recognized framework used to structure study content.
This allows for structure and systematization in language learning based on the natural, gradual development of linguistic competencies, from basic to mastery.

BUT... HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ME TO LEARN SPANISH?
The honest answer is — it depends. Factors like your age, native language, previous experience with other languages, motivation, time available for study, learning environment, and natural language aptitude all play a role. According to research from Cambridge University, it can take anywhere from 400 to 2,200 hours of study and practice to reach a high level of proficiency, depending on the language and the learner.
While it’s tempting to believe claims that you can become fluent in 6 months or a year, these promises are usually unrealistic. Unless you’re already a linguist or have immersive, full-time exposure, rushing the process often leads to frustration and weak foundations.
Real language learning takes time, consistency, and the right guidance — and that’s what we’re here to provide.
